Anita Linda's Story
(07-04-2014) Got my MPA in 2011, have 3 grandsons now (recent born Nov 2013), hoping for relocation to WA state... still single... hoping to travel more..
Okay, to date (12/05/08): I'm now a part of the first time Executive Leadership Development Program under the USDA's Graduate School's PITI/VITI. AND, I'm praying to finally achieve my career dream of obtaining the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)! YAY! Life's moving forward... now, about the pay....
After a long wait and lots of hard work, I finally graduated on June 01, 2008 with my Bachelor of Science in Public Administration!
I am a widow since November 4, 2000 after losing my SoulMate - Herbert Iano Narcis - to an untimely passing. We had been together since January 18, 1983. High school sweethearts to the end. Unfortunately, we did not marry. We have two beautiful children from our relationship though - Heather Annique, born Sep 12th and Herbert Anthony, born May 15th. And now I have two grandsons, Damian Harlan, born Dec 16th and Terrel Joshua, born Jul 24t!h
We currently live in our home at Astumbo Subdivision, Dededo, Guam.
In school my nicknames were Smu...Expand for more
rfetti, Lady Skagg or Lady Rocker (which I kept). My DECA instructor was Mr. Tufvander. I enjoyed GCC-Voc High very much and miss many of my friends, both alive and passed. Although I graduated from Sanchez "JR" High in 1981, I attended for about 2 months (Oct83-Nov83) to try out the "SR" High, but I didnt enjoy it, so I went back to GCC-VHS. I am very glad to be keeping in constant touch with my best friend, Vicki Lou (GW '84 Grad) and miss two of my school buddies very much Norman Merrill (GCC '83 Grad, my daughter's godfather, deceased Aug2001) and (Patty Cregan, she was supposed to be GCC '85, now deceased).
My job is almost totally opposite my "shop" in GCC-VocHigh (Distributive Education)... well, not really... the shop was chock full of variety regarding careers... from Marketing, to Graphic Arts, to Accounting actually... so yea... am sorta kinda in my area...
Military background was with the 838th Medical Company of the Guam Army National Guard. I was a 91B(Bravo) aka: Medical Specialist. Unfortunately I was in the IRR thru 1991 and was not able to be deployed in the first Gulf War because we were "not needed" then *sigh*.
