Ann's Story
After graduating from nursing school at Mercy in Grand Rapids, MI, and getting married, I was lucky to be a stay-at-home mother for a few years. I have two wonderful children who have developed their own successful careers. My daughter is a content design executive with a major tech firm in Ohio. My son is a Pilot and Captain in the USAF. ery privileged to be accepted into people's homes to share and teach the hospice philosophy. During my days off, I have my own private-duty business working with seniors who need companion care and help with memory and dementia-related issues. I have had several successful clients who have had improvement with their cognitive skills after I have had the opportunity to work with them. I also help their families navigate the process and steps needed to keep their loved ones in their own homes, as well as prepare them for placement if so desired. When I am not working, I have my own craft business and run my own website annsartheart.com. I make a variety of ceramic, glass, wood, and floral crafts. I am also an award-winning amateur nature and avian photographer. I have a very patient, loving, and supportive husband who understands my need to keep busy.
