I have to say that Mrs. White inspired me the most in High School. If you remember, Mrs. White was a gym teacher. So cool! We could really pour our hearts out to her, and she always knew just what to say. High School was tough for some of us. Some of you may remember me as the girl who tried to get auto shop opened up to girls. I beleive that was our junior year...working on our senior year. cessful afterall! We had some great opposition on that one. we were told that because of "certain physical reasons" it was not possible! My sophomore year, my dad and I rebuild the engine on a 1951 Chevy 5 window pickup. I loved mechanics and still do. Do you remember my old battleship gray '51 pickup?
Our class came over from Hamilton Jr. High. I transferred to Hamilton from California. Sure was a culture shock! I was born in Wichita, moved to California my 4th grade year and returned in '65.
