Anna's Story

Animals have always been my favorite subject. I stuck with what I believed in and worked side by side with veterinarians, and later became a professional dog groomer. After my grooming career, I studied wolves and became a docent volunteer at Brookfield Zoo, educating adults and children about animals and conservat...Expand for more
ion. Needless to say, I am no longer shy. I am an Award-Winning Artist, and an Author and Illustrator of Children's books. During my book events, I teach children to write stories using pictures, and of course animals. I am also the blog, webmaster, and vice president of Bets' Pets- Official Betty White Fan Club.

This beautiful piece of art came in the mail today created by my dog breeder Andrea Sautbine 2 year old son Collin. It is a thank you card to me for a fun time at Brookfield Zoo when they came here from Wisconsin. It was Co
I was up in my attic and came across some photo albums. I will be posting photos from my dog grooming years this week. This one is me exhausted after grooming this sweet St Bernard named Tara.
Me with a chubby little Westie nearly 20 years ago in Elk Grove Village.
Actually managed to get out and about today.
Check out this handsome boy. :)
Kia update. Kia is improving slightly, and is no longer dehydrated so that is a good thing, but she is still not out of the danger zone yet. She is starting to drink a little bit of water on her own. We still have to force
Kisses from mommy. This pic was from earlier today. Kia looked a little out of it here, but still looks great for a dog who has been seriously ill. Today, there was much improvement as she drank low fat milk, ate a little i

I guess my dogs aren't the only animals who put their feet up on the walls and windows. This is one of our grizzlies at Brookfield Zoo LOL
Wishing everyone a booming 4th of July celebration!
For many years, Klondike has always hung out with me in my office. Lately, Kia has been hanging out in here too. I'm Loving it. :)
Creative photo of my boy Klondike. :)
A guy was suppose to come in at 11 am today to give us an estimate for another house project. No call, no show. They forgot to write it on the calender. So now they are going to come today an hour before I leave for work.
Looks like a lazy Sunday morning. Just cuddling up with loved ones today. :)
Our first Alaskan Malamaute Kiana. Today would have been her birthday. She was a gentle giant (out weighing me) and one of the greatest therapy dogs around. Lake Katherine was her favorite place to explore. :)
