Anne's Story
Life
After graduation, I traveled to the city to work for the airlines, until I had my first child. I married Michael Santo (class of 1974) in 1980. We bought a house in St. James in 1985. We have 3 girls (ages 25, 22, 18), one boy (age 24), and one granddaughter (aged 5).
I went back to work when my youngest went into school in 1993. I left the Town of Smithtown Recreation Dept, where I worked for 9 years as a Rec Supervisor, then transferred to the county (Suffolk Community College, Brentwood Campus, at the new Sports and Exhibition Complex). or the past three years.
I play softball, enjoy camping and a multitude of other outdoor activities. I travel all over the country and Canada with our youngest daughter and her tournament in-line hockey team. She has been invited to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs three years in a row, for Women's Team USA tryouts. She made the Junior Women's Team USA each time and has been an alternate on the Women's team. She was also chosen for the All-American Team 6 years in a row at the Jr Olympics. What a way to travel!
