Anne's Story
After high school, I went to Farmingdale College. In my 2nd year I dropped out and started working in NYC. I worked for ITT Corporation for 4 years, then Ford Modeling for a couple of months, Morgan Stanley for almost 4 years, Wasserstein Perella for 1 year, Citibank for 4 years and last but not least Estee Lauder for 1 year. I went back to school at night and got my Associates in Business from NYU while at Morgan Stanley. After I got laid off from Citibank in 1993, I went back to school full time at Queens College and received by B.A. with honors in Communication Arts and Media. r daughter, Grace Elena, on October 28, 1995. Connor, our son, was born 18 months later on May 11, 1997. We moved out to Tucson on July 1, 1997 and have been here ever since. I have been a stay at home mom until about 5 years ago I received my certification to substitute teach. I will be working for the U of A full time starting in November. I miss New York. My father died in April of this year. I also lost my youngest brother, Patrick, on February 15, 2005. He was 33 years old. The youngest of 7. It was heartbreaking, but I know he is with our Lord. That is what sustains me. Our 30th reunion was on October 18. I had a great time. It was so nice to see the people who showed up. I wish more had come to it. Either way, Farmingdale was a great place to live and go to school.
