Anthony's Story
Life
After graduation, I joined the Navy to see the world as a Hospital Corpsman. However, I was honorably discharged prior to fulfulling my dream, and pursued working in the health care field back home. I attended health/science classes at Penn State University (New Kensington), and business courses at Westmoreland County Community College. llegheny Valley Hospital for eight years, and left in 1988 to work for the U.S. Dept. of Defense at Ft. Meade, MD. That was the beginning of a new career in federal law enforcement until 1994 when I returned home to help my parents get through some serious health setbacks. I served as Chief of Police for the Borough of Hyde Park before returning to federal service in 1997 as a Special Agent with the Federal Aviation Administration's Security Branch. After the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001, our positions were transferred over to the Transportation Security Administration under the new Dept. of Homeland Security.
