Anthony's Story

I can remember Battle Hill and those long days right before summer when all everyone wanted to do was get outdoors and begin summer! I was not like I am today back then. I was the quiet underestimated kid who was shy and talked very liitle and both picked on and picked last when chosing a sports team. Today, as an adult I am much more outgoing, no longer fear what people think of me and exhibit a confidence some misconstrue as arrogance. I play guitar very well as my favorite pass-time and enjoy all genres of music. I had really bad hair back then, so, now I just keep it short, very short...lol. I graduated from Frank H. Morell High School in Irvington, NJ and then attended Seton Hall until my father passed away. I later realized I was not ready for school - not mature enough. I worked as a plumber's apprentice for over ten years, was also married for ten years with one beautiful daughter and am now divorced and dating. I went on to become a Registered nurse and seek an advanced degree in nursing at Kean University. Looking back I wish I were more outgoing. finetely have asked out and loved to have dated. Her initials are D. L. and she was the most beautiful and popular girl I have ever known (to date) ... never to take even a second look at me... but hey, that didn't stop me from wishing she noticed me. I wish I has stood up for myself more, I am sure things would have turned out much different for me now knowing I am far better and more capable than I thought. We all live and learn, if we are lucky, and then we pass onto our kids the best we have to offer, again, if we are lucky enough to be blessed with children. It's all we can ever do to help push ourselves a liitle further down the road to self-actualization and self-determination. To all those who remember me, I say I sincerely hope life has been good to you and to those who do not remember me, that was probably because I kept such a low profile you didn't even notice i was there. Either way, know this: I had fun at Battle Hill despite all the times I was chased after school!! You know who you are... I still remember Mrs. D'Alessio - 4th grade - she was my favorite teacher there. In closing, who remembers the principal Mr. Gaulteries [spelling?] with the hairiest fingers ever!!
