Anthony's Story
Life
In High School you knew me as Peanuts. I now live in Oklahoma City where I work for the State Employment Security Commission as Chief of the Veterans Services Division. I am also a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant - February 1993. Married for 40 years, four sons and six grandchildren. My military career took me away from hometown friends and I miss them all dearly.
Military
Joined the Army in August 1963. Served 3 years in Air Defense Artillery in Okinawa and Texas. Got out in 1969 but returned in 1971 - this time to the Air Force. laska for three separate tours and to Germany for 3 years. While in Germany I was the Director of Operations for an agency that was deployed across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. After a near death experience in Germany, I was returned to the US, to Oklahoma City, for medical care. While at Tinker AFB in OKC, I was a Personnel Superintendent until I was medically retired in 1993. All of my military assignments are documented elsewhere in this site. My rank upon retirement (and still) was Chief Master Sergeant (E-9). I had a very successful and enjoyable military career and earned 7 Meritorious Service Medals, 2 Air Force Commendation Medals and 1 Air Force Achievement Medal - in addition to about 20 others that take very little effort.
