Anthony's Story

My story? After graduating in 86 I moved to California started my own business, married and have 2 children. Life has been full of peaks and valleys as we all have experienced over the years. Right now all is good! I have a great family. This picture is from Junior Olympics when we were in LI, NY in June 2016. My little one Aubrie is in competitive synchronized swimming year round. So we travel a lot. I hope someday she can reach the Olympics (2024). Every year it's in a different city and state which makes it fun. Its like me and my wife going on a date all the time because Aubrie has to travel with her team. So we are cheer leaders and I take thousands of pictures. The older one is 21yrs. old and starting her life and career is excited to be on her own soon. This just a snip it. i could go on and on...... I hope everyone out there is doing well. God bless America..... Update 2018: All is good with the Rutan Clan these days. It has been a good year over all. Everyone is healthy and enjoying themselves. Alexis has moved back in with us few months ago while she figures out her next move in life. That's part of being a 23 year old. She is smart as a whip and sure that will not take long. Aubrie is doing great in school and is a beast in the pool. She has moved to a new top notch team in the Bay Area this year and working toward a scholarship, though only a freshman this year and hoping to follow in her older cousins footsteps becoming a doctor. Sheri and I are doing well also. Sheri is coming up on the big 50 next year and I need to come up with a great party/get away for her. Also our 15yr. anniversary. Whoo! I have a lot to do. I do not visit this site much and figure I would update once in awhile for those who care. I hope all are doing well out there. Update April 2020 Well all is good with the "Rutan Clan" these days. Now if we can only get back to normal living again that would be great. (Covid-19) Just turned 53 last month and getting" Long in the tooth" as they say! Though my wife is younger than me, So that's a plus. Business is good and we are continuing to grow, Sheri my wife is doing good also s...Expand for more
he turned 50 last year. I took her to a place in Monterey, CA call Sanctuary Beach Resort. Very nice cottages right on the coast. Check it out if you are in Monterey area great place to visit if you get the chance. I also took her horseback riding on the beach. That was awesome! though the horse tried to roll over on me. Good thing I jumped off when he laid down. Crazy! He just wanted to scratch his back. I received a surprise call from an old friend from the past last year. (Chris Reynolds) We kicked around for a while back in the day. It was good connecting with him. I have not talk to him in probably 30yrs. He sent some video of his recent(last 2yrs. I guess) venture to the old "Meyers Pond" be hide Upper Elementary where we use to fishing as kids. That reminds of a time with Mike Cippola (Blast from the past) 1985 graduation partying night getting his green pickup truck stuck crossing that little creek down there at 2am after a long night of drinking. I do not know why or how we ended up there. We had to leave it there and walk home. Damn that was a fun night. I only remember bits and pieces. Kids are getting older 24 and 16. Alexis (24) has went back to school to possibly work with animals in some aspect. She is our liberal in the family. "Think Family Ties "Alex", but the opposite. We love her anyway. She has become such a beautiful young woman. Lex has been dating a fellow for awhile and it may be getting more serious. We'll see. Aubrie (16) is doing great. Sporting a 4.+ in school and is still pursuing a career in the medical field.(Surgeon). I'm a proud Papa. Trying to get a scholarship at a local Bay area University. Aubrie is continuing her swimming career also. 2019 her team took Gold in Junior Nationals. Awesome! and she made Junior National team for artistic swimming for USA in Canada where they took 3rd. Not bad for a new team who trained only 6 weeks, where the other country's were training for a year or more. No excuses they did great. The girls were from all over the country. Coach Anna was from Russia and swam on the Ukraine team in the Olympics 2016. Awesome coach. Well that all for now.
