April's Story

Life After graduation I left for Lackland AFB, TX to complete my Basic Military Training. Took a bus to Keesler AFB, MS for Tech School. Got married Oct 2000. Honorable Discharge from the Air Force, in Feb 2001. Moved to Beale AFB, CA. Had my son Feb 2002. Had my daughter in March 2003. My husband had an affair and moved me and the two kids to Clearwater FL with his parents in Dec 2003. I got a job at Nielsen Media Research in Feb 2004. Moved out on my own in June of 2004, to Dunedin FL. Promoted in July 2004 to a Training Assistant. Left FL For Enfield CT in Oct 2004. Divorced in Jan 2005 and remarried in Feb 2005. I moved to Colorado Springs, CO in Jan 2005, my husband was deployed to Iraq for a year so we are back in Enfield CT until he comes home. And I am pregnant again. School I hated high school. hought, so it held me back from doing things I wanted to do. It was horrible. I haven't really kept in touch with many people from High School, however I am very interested to know what everyone is doing. I am hoping to get in touch with some of the people I graduated with. Workplace I started working at Nielsen Media Research in Feb of 2004. It was great. I was on the phones for the first few months and then got promoted to Training Assistant. I loved it!!! It gave me a lot of confidence and I now know that I am good with people. I moved so I had to give up my job. I was hoping to make the Trainer Position. Maybe one day I will go back. That was the last job I had. Military I loved the Air Force. I wasn't in long and I wish I could have stayed in. I got an honorable discharge because of a past back injury. I wish I could go back. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had.
