April's Story
Life
What's up people? After high school I worked a few years in hospitality and marketing, then went to Grant MacEwan Community College and graduated from the Library and Information Management Program. I married in 1993 and moved to Windsor, I was working at the University of Windsor in their library, chief steward of the union, sat on the executive board of Information Windsor, a non-profit agency that connects residents and visitors to service and information in their community. Unfortunately we divorced I married again to someone from Indiana divorced after 3 years and finally met my soulmate from Mississippi and now I live down South. In my spare time I enjoy computers, darts, playing pool, video games, old movies and some of the new ones, gardening, cooking, visiting with friends, fishing and hunting.
I've been living down here since 2005 and my hubby Glenn and I are going to be celebrating our 3rd anniversary on October 29th. We live out in the country and I love it compared to city life, we love to have huge bonfires and cookouts (Glenn makes the best bbq ribs on the...Expand for more
planet btw).
I never had children but over the course of 3 marriages I certainly have had a hand in raising some...and in some cases did better than their mothers too. We do have several furry ones though, currently 8 rat terriers and one cat, soon to be more running around too. We have about 60 chickens, fresh eggs every day and pick of the pen to throw on the grill if we want. We have about two 1 acre gardens so we are pretty well self-sufficient, we do alot of canning and preserving so we have plenty of fresh vegetables all year long.
It's funny, after being in the city all my life I never thought I would take to living in the country so much but after being down here a few times and seeing all the stars and experiencing the peacefulness I was hooked and fell in love with it. I can go out in my yard and see stars I've never seen before, go out to the garden and pick a fresh tomato that I grew...there's something satisfying about that.
Well I'm going on and on...would love to hook up with some of my old friends and schoolmates, as they say down South...take care y'all!!
