April's Story
Life
My email is binny2005 at msn dot com, I look forward to hearing form old classmates so if you want to get in touch Just drop me a line. Wow, it has been ten years since we graduated. Well shortly after graduation I got married and had three kids Casey is going to be 10, Samantha lives with Lee in Deer River she will soon be 8 and Jennifer (Jenna) is 6 and lives with me as does Casey. We divorced in 99 and I joined the military. I was stationed in OK and then in VA. Military life was exciting and busy, and at this point I am glad I am out, I missed my kids terribly while I was in. I currently live in Andover MN with my husband of 5 years, His name is Russ, we have OUR two kids (He adopted Casey and Jenna) living with us, our two dogs, a macaw parrot named Maya who thinks she is human, and calls me her Mama. I am currently enrolled at Kaplan University working towards my BS degree in Law. I have 4 terms left before I graduate. I recently graduated with my Crime Scene Technician Certificate. I volunteer one day a week at Jenna's school helping the 1st graders with reading, I also am the assistant coach of the Zimmerman Youth Cheerleading squad. It is K- 6 graders and they cheer for the Zimmerman JR football players. I also sing in the band my husband and I formed called Faded Youth we play in the twin cities area, my husband is also the drummer with Southern Exposure they play in the Aitkin Crosby area. He also works full time as an estimator in the auto body business, and he helps me run our mortgage company part time. When I am not working on school work I run our mortgage company full time. If you had asked me ten years ago where I would be today I would have answered living in Deer River raising my kids but life throws you some awesome curve balls, to which I am most thankful. Russ and my kids are the most important things in my life. It has been an adventurous ten years to say the least. I have a feeling the next ten years will find me in a law firm somewhere doing what I love to do best (arguing).
School
Okay let me see if I can remember that far back, in my Jr. year my biggest most secret crush was Jeff Dewitt...Expand for more
, and he is the only one who knew it, Oh Jeff, what a player you were. My second biggest crush was in my Sr. that would have been Lee Schjenken, whom I married and had kids with. Oh for the puppy love days.
What teacher inspired me most, I donÂt think I paid enough attention to most of my teachers, but I guess I would have to say Mrs. Kongsjord she taught the health class, my Jr. year.
Oh Lord what a question, if I could do it all over again I would have to say no, there are many things I would have done differently. The day I knocked Gary Regal up side the head i would have hit him harder. On a serious note I would have taken school more seriously.
I wonÂt answer this question some things need to remain private, you have to remember I was in a group home I wouldnÂt want to ruin the fun of the girls who are there now, we have to keep some secrets.
College
I am currently a second year student at Kaplan University. I have four terms left to finish my major which is a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Psychology. I have been accepted and plan on attending Concord Law School upon completion of my BS degree. My projected graduation date for my BS degree is January 2007.
Workplace
As I have mentioned my husband and I own and operate a mortgage company in the twin cities area, we started it up about two years ago, it as with any business is growing at a nice steady space. We have a business outlook that by the time I complete school, the business will be high enough off the ground that my husband can take it on full time and I can move on to my chosen career path.
Military
I was stationed at Ft. Sill for boot camp; I completed AIT at FT Eustis and then reported for my active duty station at Ft. Stewart. My MOS was a 68J which is armament missile system repair. I enjoyed my time in the military, and loved work in the aviation aspect of it. I would have most likely stayed in had I not needed to come back and defend myself, and get my kids back. Life throws you serious curve balls, the worst sometimes being an ex-spouse. Other than that Military life was fun, busy, and active!
