Ashley's Story

After graduating from high school and spending 18 years of my life in Harrisburg NE, I decided to go to the Univerisity of Nebraska at Kearney. I was ready to get away and experience life. I decided I was going to go to nursing school. I did my first 2 1/2 years in Kearney. During this time I met my husband Mat. Very interesting in fact because he was from Scottsbluff NE which is only 45 min from my home town. He moved to Lincoln to be closer to me and then after a year there he decided to take a job in Colorado Springs ,CO. y of Nebraska Medical Center Scottsbluff division where I finished the rest of my nursing school and graduated with a Bachelors. We were married in 2004 and Caitlyn was born in 2005 during my last semester of nursing school. Upon graduating I then moved to Colorado Springs to be with my husband fulltime and took a job as an RN at Memorial Hospital on an OB/GYN floor. I simply love my job and always wanted to work in Womens Health. In 2008 our son Dawson was born. My kids are the joy of my life and I wouldnt trade them for the world!!! Mat works in fire protection and we have become accostumed to the big City of Colorado Springs..
