Ayako's Story
Life
Grew up in the LA suburbs and the Chicago suburbs, moved, did the rest of my growing up in Japan. Doing the motherhood and professional career juggling act thing with lots and lots of help from my co-workers, day care providers, parents (baby's grandparents) and a tall (by Japanese standards) hottie husband who does dishes and changes poopy diapers without being asked!
School

hat it was important in making me who I am and getting me where I am today (it certainly caught my husband's attention, and the English helps immensely at work).
College
Did medical school in Japan (it's cheaper here). I was in crew (rowing) and as a coxswain, my job was to yell at four guys bigger than me (not that four guys bigger than me is a rarity, even here in Japan).
Workplace
Finished med school and went into radiology. Currently a staff radiologist at a good-sized university hospital.
