Barbara's Story
My nickname was and still is Bunny, though I answer to Barbara as well. Shortly after my 20th birthday, I married Herb and moved to California, where we raised three children -- all boys. They are now in their 30's and 40's. I taught preschool and finished college a class at a time, finally graduating with a degree in art education. I then went to graduate school and received my Masters in Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Counseling. I like to think that I haven't changed in my personality and interests, which I continue to pursue. ...Expand for more
I have two grandchildren, who are lots of fun and who have permitted me to enjoy this part of my life. I lost a child and my sons gave me a lot of heartache. My husband is quite ill, so my time spent caring for him.
I live in an area where I can raise animals, so I've had farm animals for many years. I've shown my chickens at county fairs and occasionally win some prizes. I also have a couple of goats. The neighbors love to feed them and have helped me raise some of them.
