Barbara's Story
Life
High school was a mixed bag for me. At times I felt like I was absolutely invincible and at other times I felt as vulnerable as a feather in the wind. During those tumultuous years I experienced the thrill of my first kiss from my first love. I experienced close bonds with my girlfriends with whom I shared every emotion. I saw the music world evolve from 1 minute long, 45rmp single record releases by a myriad of artists into full album releases by classic artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who.
I attended my very first live concert at the Montreal Forum when the Rolling Stones performed and I still have the ticket stub LOL. Those were exciting times to be growing up in Montreal and it just kept getting better and better through the years.
Now I'm 60 yrs. old and wonder where the decades went. I didn't notice them speeding by. I have some regrets but try not to dwell on them. I'm very lucky and thankful to have been blessed with 3 wonderful children and an adoring husband. I have a lot of love in my life :).
Through the years I worked as a bookkeeper and eventually worked my way up into management. I didn't really enjoy office work, but it helped pa...Expand for more
y the bills. In 1991 I decided to go in a new direction and went back to school at Bishop's University. I became a sociologist and now work part-time at a research firm in Halifax.
I signed up for Classmates in he hopes of connecting with old friends and neighbours from Montreal North, but I must admit I've had better success on Facebook. I'm listed under Barb Jones in the Nova Scotia network and have just opened another Facebook account under my maiden name in the Montreal network.
The young man pictured with me in my "then" photograph was my very first love, Pierre Brochu. Memories of him creep into my thoughts now and then, especially when I hear a song from those years. I would love to get in touch with him - just because :).
My husband and I share a passion for photography and we travel throughout Nova Scotia photographing the pristine beauty of this province. You may see our collection of photographs on Smugmug. Type in banjon.smugmug.com and enjoy :). If you see any photos that appeal to you, please leave a comment and rate the photo.
This may possibly be the longest bio on classmates. I sincerely hope I haven't bored you too much.

Barb Jones
