Becky's Story

Life Currently I'm living in China, teaching at a University. Get this--the name of the University is North China Electric Power University! ha ha. Yeah, I thought it was strange too, but i've been told it's the best power university in China! Really!!! Anyway, I've been here almost 2 years, and have taught classes such as Writing, Culture, Intercultural Communications, Speaking and Reading. I absolutely love it. My favorite class to teach is Intercultural Communications--i love this stuff. I hope to do Intercultural Training and Consulting in the future. I'm also working on a Masters degree from Wheaton College and will graduate in Dec 2005 with a degree in In...Expand for more
tercultural Studies and TESOL (teaching english to speakers of other languages). I take classes in the summer, and do the research while i'm in China. Oh, let's see, i graduated from Central Michigan University the same time Danny Long did--dec 2002! yea! After that, i did a PR internship for a year, and then headed off to China. My parents still live in Merritt, and i'm usually there at some point every summer. I'd love to catch up with any of you Skeels alumni! Has anyone heard from Jenny Gierszewski? I'm trying to catch up with her. Anyway, i hope to hear from you all! Email me or call my parents for more info! Dan and Marilyn Swab--Merritt, MI Peace out!
