Bedford's Story
I left High School in my Junior Year (1958) and enlisted in the Army, April 1958. After my Infantry and Artillery Training, I was assigned to the 7th Infantry Division in Korea. My actual stay there was for 13 months and then I rotated back to the US, being assigned to the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Lewis Washington State. as 50 years ago this year that I had enlisted at the age of 17, and now I have reached the age of 67. Wow. God has been with me my entire life and He continues to watch over me. I retired from the Port Chester Fire Department (1965-1985) and also from the US Postal Service (1985-1997). I have been married for 46 years to a wonderful person, and we have been blessed with 5 children and 7 grandchildren. Life is good.
