Benita's Story
Life
Hi, this is Benita. I became a teacher, graduating from PSU, in Goodwill, OK., received my Master's from West Texas A&M State in Canyon. I taught 11 years in Boise City, OK, went through a five year marriage and divorced.
In 1983, I returned in Dumas as a Title I teacher at Sunset Elem. My classroom there was my first grade classroom when it was named South Ward with Mrs. Marie Huntley as my teacher.
After earning my Master's as a reading specialist, I moved up to Junior High as a reading specia...Expand for more
list, teaching 7,8,9th grades before moving to CA.
By this time, I had married my current husband, Robert Michael Lind, (he goes by Michael), in Aug. of 1984. Michael was pursuing his doctorate as a clinical psychologist from the Rosemead School of Psychology which is located on the Biola University campus in La Mirada, LA county.
After several weeks of paperwork, I had a CA teaching credential and went to work as a teacher with the Hacienda La Puente School District in LA Co.
