Bernadine's Story
My husband, Jim and I are in our 59th yr. of marriage. We live on a farm and raised our children here. We had 7 children but one is deceased. All our children married and we have 12 grandchildren...who are the current lights of our lives. I've always been an artist and have used my art in many ways. I was a sign painter for over 25 yrs. while my children were growing up. I'm now into ink drawing, calligraphy, card making, quilting, knitting, crocheting, beading, and cross stitch. m. This is the Catholic grade school where we sent our children and 5 of our grandchildren.
I was on the building committee for our parish ...the only woman on the committee. And we built a beautiful gathering space alongside our church. I'm very interested in architectural design and have designed our home, my husbands workshop, my studio and our cabin. My first building design was the addition to the bank in town.
We now have 7 great grandchildren, 6 close by and 1 in Georgia. I love the visits to my studio (they call it great grandma's toy store because they always leave with a toy).
