Bernie's Story
Life
After graduating from Flushing, I graduated from Flint J. C. (now Mott Community College), then graduated from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids with a major in urban studies. Worked as a staffer in the Michigan Legislature for 19 years, and then began a polling and consulting company named EPIC-MRA, where I still work today.
My Spouse
I met my wife Therese at a Sadie Hawkins dance two weeks before I graduated from Aquinas College. Therese and I were married about a year later after we worked...Expand for more

My Pets
We have a 14 year old female white terrier named Casey, a 6 year old border collie/pit bull mix named Bella, and a 2 year old Doberman. We also have three cats named Patches (black and white), Cappie (all black) and Fraidy (brown and white).
My Kids
Matthew, age 35, is a wrestling and cross country coach; Tim, age 32, works at Emergent Technology in Lansing; and Annie, age 25, lives in St. Louis, MO and works in logistics moving people and stuff.
