Beth's Story

Life After High School I attended Southwestern College and graduated with a degree in Nursing. I worked at Mercy Hospital for the next 9 years mostly in surgical and neurosurgical ICU. I married my wonderful husband in 1984. He now teaches History at El Cajon Valley High School and coached football for many years in South and East County High Schools.We spent 3 years 1993-1996 in La Crosse, WI where I worked in the ER of a large trauma center, which was the most exciting job I've ever had and I loved it. nger work on my feet and was blessed enough to find a position as a telephone triage nurse for Kaiser. I look forward to finding some of my old school friends from BVHS. School I remember working very hard in my classes. I most enjoyed working on the yearbooks. I hated P.E. I remember in my Jr and Sr year spending a lot of time with Barbara Bashforth in our cars drinking Pepsi out of the bottle and smoking Kools. One of my craziest memories is taking pictures for the yearbook ads with Mark De Dominick and John Masters. (check out p.196 of 1974 yr book). Would I do it again? Sure, but knowing what I know now and taking it a lot less seriously, having a lot more fun.
