Life
My Spouse
Todd and I met while attending USL in 1990. We were married just a short 15 months later in June of 1991. Thanks to Erica for introducing us!
My Son
Derrick is 10 and is in the fifth grade. We are homeschooling for the fourth year and some of his subjects are 7th and 8th grade to keep him interested and challenged. He is a fantastic baseball player (usually infielder, but he's multi-talented), loves gymnastics, tennis and golf and is great at any sport he tries. He is crossing over to Boy Scouts in March 2005 after earning his Arrow of Light, the highest honor in Cub Scouting.
My Pets
We have a small zoo at our house: 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 Guinea Pig, and 4 fish. There is also the General Wildlife running amok around the property eating all of the newly planted vegetation and ignoring the food intended for them. Our yard seems to be bunny-heaven!
Jobs and Volunteering
My main "job" is homeschooling Derrick, but there are others! My paid position is ...Expand for more
as a Pampered Chef Kitchen Consultant and I'm having a BLAST!!
Volunteer-wise, I'm Derrick's Webelos Patrol Leader (soon to be a Boy Scout leader), our Pack's Cubmaster, District Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner, former Day Camp Director for the largest camp in our Council, Family Camp director (also the largest of its kind,) District Roundtable Chair and others I'm sure I've left out.
I am also a Red Cross Clinic Instructor and teach at least one class per year for the primary, intermediate, middle and high school Clinic Volunteers (usually the largest class for our Chapter-they are HUGE schools!)
The rest of the family:
Mom and Dad live in the same town as us and we see them fairly often. My sister, Mandi, has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jon since 2000. They have two boys, Brady who's 4 and Evan who just turned 2. Baby Girl, Rayane, is due in May of 2005. They live in Quantico, VA. Jon is a Captain in the Marine Corps and Mandi is a stay at home mom.
