Betty's Story
Life
Well, here's the short version: I went to Gaston College for a few years, changing my major every year. I transferred to Western Carolina University in 1988, and Graduated in 1991 with a degree in Special Education. I taught school for a couple of years and then, in 1993, I married Tommy Phillips, Class of 1981. We started our family soon after our December wedding. ff with Gaston County. We moved from Belmont in July of 2001, but just up the road a bit. We bought our house in Lowell in December 2001. In 2007, I began homeschooling our children. Carlee figure skates (roller not ice) competitively
and enjoys taking violin lessons. She is also on the swim team in the summer. Thanual played soccer for several years, but has recently taken up golf. We are active members at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Lowell, where Tommy is a leader in the Youth Department. E-mail me sometime. I'd love to hear from you!
