Betty Ann's Story

I have many fond memories of the one room prairie schools and had many stories for my children of the great Christmas Concerts. These concerts were some of my fondest memories. My eldest daughter's career took her to live in Winnipeg for 5 years where one of my granddaughters graduated and met the love of her life. My daughter and my granddaughter came to their senses and moved back out west. lol My journey through life have given me three very beautiful daughters, two step daughters and one step son. My husband and I have 19 grandchildren. My last two grandsons graduated this past year that means I am getting OLD but feel rather young at heart. My husband Ron and I now live in Kamloops, BC where I am retired while my husband works part-time. We have a place in Palm Springs and go there every winter to soak up the sunshine escaping some of the cold in Canada although I cannot complain as K...Expand for more
amloops rarely gets any amount of snow and the cold is minimal.. We enjoy a beautiful life in Kamloops on the side of a mountain with an eagles' nest and the North Thompson River out our front door. Life has been kind to me and getting older opens up a whole new world of freedoms and a big world to explore. I have traveled to many places but still need to see Europe with all its' old history. My oldest grandson did a three month trip their last year sharing his journey as he traveled via facebook and that has spurred me on. Life is a journey and I treasure each part of mine starting with my humble beginnings in Manitoba growing up with my five brothers on the farm. Three of my brothers have passed on so now there is just the 3 of us left. Life never stays the same and each day brings new experiences--but it is always good to look back and remember the little things that mattered...
