Beverly's Story

I grew up in the Rows in Springhill and attended Elgin St School, Junction Road School and also SHS in the 50's, and left in 1959 to go to Business School in Halifax and then worked for the Depart of Mines in Halifax. In 1962 I moved to the US working for a family in New Haven, Conn then to work for the Fernald School in Belmont, Mass. 1963 to '65 I worked as EEG Technician at Methodist Hospital, Houston Texas. 1966-'68, I worked for a dentist in Inglewood, California then back to Boston, Mass til 1972 where I moved onto a sailboat and sailed to St. Augustine, Fl. While in St Augustine I got married to my present husband and graduated from nursing school. 1980 We built a 50 ...Expand for more
ft. sailboat and moved to south Florida and the Keys where we lived on the sailboat and I worked in a Hospital in Islamorada, Fl. We lived in couple other areas of Florida, as you can see I enjoy moving around then about 1995 we bought this farm here in rural SE Georgia where we live with our dogs, cats, horses, ducks and geese. I always enjoyed going back to NS and springhill over the years especially to Heathers Beach which holds many happy memories and most of my family still live in NS though not in Springhill anymore. Anyway, that's my life in synopsis...never been able to have any kids just fur babies. Anyone who remembers me from Springhill feel free to write. bev.
