Bill (Horst) Hartung:  

I went to Nathan Hale from 65 to 66 and NVRSH from 67 to 71 and lived in Northvale at 229 Livingston St. I left Northvale in 71 when I was 19 and moved to Portland Oregon. You all knew me as Bill Hartung but my real name was Horst Hartung. I changed it when I was very young and used to come home crying from school cause the kids used to make fun of it ...so my Mom said we'll change it to what ever you want and I picked the name "Billy". My family and wife still call me "Billy" but everyone else calls me "Horst" cause I changed it back between 1976 to 1979. I Traveled and played clubs and did odd jobs for awhile until I met my wife Sharon Casperino in Newburg NY in 1976 when I was playing a gig for the West Point Army Kids in NY. We moved out to San Jose California and in 1979 got married in Carmel California on the Beach and started a Family. I have two daughters "Carissa" and "Meggan" and three grand children, "Keria", "Aubrie Rose" and "Wyatt". I worked for IBM in San Jose as a Mechanical Inspector from 1979 to 1993 and then moved to Shingletown Ca. Started my own business as a Cabinet Maker and then moved to Forest Grove Oregon in 1997 Here I worked as a Journeyman Carpenter until I got my Home Inspector Certificate.
