The remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" is playing in the background.  There is one significant difference between it and the original.  In the remake, it wasn't necessary for anybody to be able to act.
This lady, Hattie Mcdaniel, became the first Black woman to receive an Oscar.  She was awarded Best Supporting Actress for her role in Gone With The Wind that screened 78 years ago today.
This is what I would call a "Motorcar".  It is a Bugatti Royale "Estes".  The fellow is Jean Bugatti.
Christmas 1960 with the disadvantaged kids of Rothwesten,  West German with Pfc John Butler, 184th USASA Co.  A memorable day with soldiers doing what they do best.

This is a Fidget Spinner nose trick.  Our buddy Hal Reid could perform this easily.  He could even market a Plus Size Fidget Spinner that his nose could easily accomodate!
The Steamer Elsa on the Fulda River near Kassel, Germany.  We used to see this ship steaming down river to the Red Cat where we drank beer on the balcony.
