Bill's Story
School
My best memories of school were in Elementary school where you knew everyone and most people liked one another. Any static between two was settled in the schoolyard after school. And usually that would bond a friendship.. I still remember all my teachers names, and I liked them all. The only thing to worry about was what was for dinner, or lunch. If I ould go back in time it would be between 1956-1963, the innocent years.
Workplace

Military
I left High School in January 1969 and enlisted in the Army to follow family tradition. Ordered to Viet-Nam to arrive during Woodstock Festival. One problem, I was 17 years old. My orders were flagged and I was sent to Fort Carson Colorado where I stayed for a year. After volunteering for a tour in Nam I got orders to serve in Korea. After a pit-stop in nam enroute to Korea, I found myself about 7 miles from the DMZ 38th Parallel. With all the attention worldwide on Nam, Korea Border incidents were never heard of. I spent 13 months in a Quansit Hut with horrible food. My combat exposure was little. A few incidents on guard duty but nothing like my friends in Infantry saw in nam. I was lucky. My biggest Military accomplishment was, I made Sergeant when I was 18 years old.
