Bill's Story
I have great memories of my time at Paiute and remember making great friends while I attended. When I graduated my family moved and had to attend Saguaro High School and make all new friends. I remember really missing everyone who went on to Scottsdale High. During my time at Paiute, after school, I focused on the sport of swimming. I did relatively well in high school and went to ASU on a swimming scholarship. Swimming kept me out of all kinds of trouble. While in college, during my Junior year, I came to a better understanding of my faith and got very involved in various leadership opportunities with youth. I was a Young Life Leader for a time, coached the Scottsdale Aquatic Club in the early 80's, worked for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce and fell in love with my wife Beth.

wonderful children. Two are working on their MA / PsyD in Washington DC. Over the years I have been primarily dedicated to the work of youth ministry. I was a youth minister at our parish in Tempe; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for seven years. Then founded a non-profit organization called Youth Arise which is dedicated to forming young adults to have a missionary consciousness - then sending them on short and long term missions throughout the world. After working for the Catholic Diocese of Phx. for five years in the training of youth leaders, I now am working for Living Water Retreat Center in Cornville, AZ. It is a Christian retreat center where individuals & Church Groups can encounter the Living Jesus Christ and leave refreshed by the Holy Spirit. It is a great work of God and my family and I are very happy to be a part of this. We have lived Tempe, AZ since 1987.
