Bill's Story
Life
In 1959 I married Pattie Mitchell and we had a son, Jim Nolen. We divorced in 1964 and in 1966 I married Gerri Williams [Nabakowski]. In 1967 we had a daughter Shelly and I adopted her son Greg. I had gone to work for Moty and Van Dyke auto parts in 1957 and in 1967 they moved me to Alturas,Ca to manage that store. Gerri and I divorced in 1979 and that year I got into the Mobile Home Sales. I had a short, third marriage in 1987. In 1990 I moved to Susanville,Ca to manage a Manufactured Home Sales with partners. That year God put me with my wife, Marlene, who is the most wonderful part of my life and between us we have 5 children, 10 grand children, and at this time 7 great grand children. We live on 10 acers in Janesville, Ca about a mile and one half east of hwy 395, on Sears Road. We have 10 horses and ...Expand for more
work with young children, teaching them to take care of and ride horses and we do not charge anything for that. We also run the playday/gymkhanna's for the "Honey Lake Valley Riders" a local horse club. I am now retired after several heart surgerys in 1999. Marlene is the supervisor of the kitchen at the Lassen County Jail and she oversees the feeding of 300 inmates, 3 times a day. We attend the Honey Lake Valley Assembly of God, on the Lassen CoRd A-3 Reno cut off approx one mile east of our home and since 1995 we have taken care of Marlenes mother, Belva Fusari. God is great and we are looking forward to the number 50 reunion of the KUHS class of 1956.
