Bill's Story
What a long, strange trip it's been.
Let's see; anti-war activist (Viet Nam) to railroad worker to director of special ed programs in NYC to banker to anti-war activist (Iraq) to small business owner (executive education). Officially retired a couple years ago. Spending my time Resisting, fly fishing, taking photos (samples on insta at billwoods98118 ) and traveling. Started doing some volunteer work with the local business associations. Oh yeah, finally graced with my first grandchild! (Update: three grandsons under three years old, all living within a 10 minute walk. We are happy but exhausted grandparents.)
Living with and married to Shash since 1975 !!
Shash has officially retired, though she continues to take on the occasional small contract. She was a visual artist who migrated over to the adult education field, teaching...Expand for more
English as a 2nd language, civics, basic math, etc. She taught entrepreneurship and small business classes and trains teachers at community and technical colleges how best to work with adult learners.
Two "kids". I don't know what we did wrong, but they are both living within a few blocks of us at the moment. We call it Hyannisport in the Hood. The older taught Economics at Occidental College and recently returned with his wife from a year in India doing contract work for the World Bank and the International Labor Organization. He's now opening a consulting firm. The younger graduated with a degree in Integrated Product Design from Otis College of Art and Design and is working with furniture design and sales in Seattle. They both inherited their mother's smarts, not mine. We are waiting (impatiently) for grandkids.
