Life
came to alaska with the army as a medical lab tech in 94. army was a hoot. had a blast. in 96, stacy and i had our son, andrew (cutest kid ya ever seen, of course). by 99, it was time for a change, so i bailed on the army gig, and took a position at a local lab with on ol army buddy. finally talked my folks/ lil bro into movin up in 2000, and by 01 we'd opened a custom harley shop, with pop's tattoo shop above it(i know, custom bikes in alaska?lol) within a few months, it had become a full time (and then some) enterprise. most fun i've ever had. finally found an outlet fo...Expand for more
r my creative side in welding, forming sheetmetal, machining, and fabrication in general, balanced by the hefty dose of stress found in owning/running a small business. currently, i'm continuing the growth of my business, and spending more time in the woods. the last few years have been consumed by the shop, leaving little time for fun, but it's easing up, and now it's time to get back to the things that made us fall in love with this sometimes frozen wasteland to begin with (huntin and fishin). if the next ten years are anything like the last ten, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.
