Blake's Story
Life
I'm married with two children, a daughter age 28 ( married with one child and one on the way)and a son age 27 (retired military thanks to Iraq). My wife and I currently work and live in Shanghai, China along with two cats that we have taken pretty much around the world with us. We have been living and working overseas, teaching in American Based International Schools since 1995, and have found that this lifestyle suits us very well. Thus far we have been lucky enough to have lived and worked in South Korea(1995/96), Taiwan(1996/99), Thailand(1999/2001), Cote d'Ivoire/Ivory Coast West Africa(2001/03 unfortunately evacuated due to civil war), Qatar(2003), Kuwait(2003/2005),Cambodia and currently are in Shanghai, China (2005/to present). We make it back to Idaho during the summers and at Christmas time to visit family and friends, but really don't have much desire to live there at this time. We will b e back in Kimberly mid June through the end of July.
About the future .......... who knows ........ there is so much of the world that we haven't had an opportunity to explore yet ......
Travel tip: ........... Just do it!!! ...... its a blast ........ Thus far we have been lucky enough to have been able to visit Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, France, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Holland(Netherlands), Ghana, Ivory Coast/Cote d'Ivoire, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and China.
School
Well lets see ......... bounced around a bit and hit quite a few schools growing up, but always seemed to come back to Kimberly.
First grade was in Goo...Expand for more

So I guess Kimberly was where most of it happened .........
College
My College education was a bit like my earlier education in that it bounced around a bit on the road to figuring it all out. I began by attending C.S.I. in order to acquire an A.A.S. degree in refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning. Working in refrigeration led me to installing dairy equipment which ended up with me milking cows which then led to attending a short course by A.B.S. to learn how to Artificially Inseminate Livestock (No Jokes Now). Next stop ..... as I didn't want to "fondle" cows all my life, was to become certified in Computerized Inventory Control, again at C.S.I. Eventually ..... following a back injury and surgery while driving truck, I went back to school to get a bachelors in education from Idaho State University. This led to our family moving and living overseas. In 2001 my wife and I went back to graduate school in southern France to finish our Master's in Educational Administration through Michigan State University's Satellite program based just outside of Nice, France. I'm currently pursuing a second Masters in Library Science.
Military
I attended Boot camp and A.I.T. at Fort Gordon, Georgia and was stationed at McNair Kaserne just outside Frankfurt Germany in a suburb called Hoechst. 1976-1977
