Bob's Story
Born in 1948 in Edmonton as William Robert Thomas Boyd. Father was also William so I got called Bob at home and a mix of Bob or Bill at school.
I attended Norwood Elemetary, McCauley Jr. High and Victoria Vocational High which turned into Victoria Composite High when they merged. Took Electronics at Vic which added an extra year graduating in 1967.
Went to NAIT and took Electronics Technology and got back the year graduating in 1969.

t being a tech at a university wasn't the way to go. Arranged to keep both my full time job and take Electrical Engineering at the same time. Needless to say I don't remember a whole lot of the early 70's.
Graduated in 1976 and went to work for Shell in Calgary. Worked there until 1994 and then went to work for Kenonic Controls which was bought by Emerson Electric in 2000.
Slowed down my working career in 2006 to part time consulting and am now mostly retired.
