Bob's Story

Life Met my present spouse, art dealer Virginia Miller, at a small party in an artist's loft 47 years ago. My first wife, antiquarian book dealer Maggie DuPriest, is deceased. Retired from newspapering/editing/PR/speechwriting/TV hosting to write books and do speechwriting. Next year I'll be publishing my first novel, a humorous 10-year-old's view of the WW II home front based on my childhood. I'll also be publishing a memoir based on my years in the Bahamas and as a reporter and bureau chief with The Miami Herald. I also do most of the writing/editing for the 5,000-page web site of my wife's business, ArtSpace Virginia Miller Galleries, now Greater Miami's longest-established contemporary fine art gallery. Charley, of course, was the retiring principal, Charles Haslam. Personally, I always felt that "confusin' Hughes" was a bum rap. I'm still using the Spanish I learned from him and Mr. Carmen Prezioso. Anybody else remember the poem, "El Burro Flautista?" Hugs and handshakes, Bob (now known as Bill, but that's another story)

May jostle a memory or two. I was on the board of directors for my entire career with the school district, and was one of the directors who brought in Chuck Burdeen from Chicago and voted to become a certified bargaining un

I'd like to use this as a holiday card image, but for some reason Virginia is less than enthusiastic about it. The cutline could be something about "Joy to the World."
My brother-in-law, Alex Miller, took me on my annual birthday fishing trip. Our guide took us on a flats boat from Key Biscayne south to Boca Chita Key. Had an awesome day catching barracuda, a beautiful bar jack and some v
Fly-fishing for trout is special in part because it's almost always in a beautiful, woodsy place, but for a real jolt I love to fish for barracuda. Once hooked, they take off on a series of 20-30 yard runs, each ending in
Two of the ladies who patronize the beauty salon across the street must have been going to a holiday party, because this is how they dressed today. Isn't her outfit cute?
