Robert Monfort:  

After high school, I spent enough time at MJC to graduate. I enlisted in the Army in 1967 and spent a couple years with 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC and a year with the 4th Infantry Division in VietNam. In 1974, I graduated from Cal Poly with a BS degree in Parks Administration and immediately went to work for the Southern CA city of Downey. Just 2 years later, in 1976, the postion of Parks Supervisor opened up in the Northern CA city of Antioch where we lived for some 44 years. In 1982, because of budget constraints, all the non-essential city services were cut dramatically. That year, I left government employment and went to work for PG&E. As they say, the rest is history.
