Bob's Story
Since St. Mary, went on the graduate from Fenwick High School and St. Norbert College (B.S. - Biology). Attempted optometry school for two years, but could not see my future in it. Worked for Waste Management, Inc. as a laboratory technician for a few years before finally found my niche at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, where I have spent the last 23 years, working my way up from an entry-level lab technician to a Sanitary Chemist position in charge of a laboratory with a staff of 29 junior chemists, lab techs, and clerical positions. My lab's annual budget is nearly $3 million. I met my best friend, Bonnie, while working a summer job as a policeman at Brookfield Zoo in 1983 - I married her two years later. We will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in July, 2010. We have 2 outstanding young women that we call "daughter". was/is active in the arts - acting in high school stage productions and playing the tenor saxophone throughout her high school and college careers (she was chosen as a drum major during her senior year at Romeoville High School). She continues her musical interests as a member of the "Big Red Marching Machine" (ISU's marching band) and the university's pep band. In addition to the saxophone, Amy is proficient in playing the flute, open-hole flute and piccolo. She also has beginner's knowledge of piano and guitar. My younger daughter, Holly, is also musically talented. She has followed her sister's footsteps by playing in the Romeoville High School Marching Spartan Band. Though only a freshman, this is her second year as a trombonist with the band. She also plays piano with the high school's pit orchestra. She wants to be a professional pianist when she grows up. All in all, my life is very busy, but equally rewarding. My Dad died a few years ago; Mom still lives at our house in Cicero. That's about it for now.
