Workplace
After college I worked for PG&E from 1965 until the end of 1994. After retiring from PG&E I worked for Portland General Electric Company and Enron from 1994 through 1997. I then worked for Southern Company/Mirant from 1997 through 2002. I then worked a year for MIECO Company and retired again in 2003. Military
after High School I served in the California Army National Guard for nearly 8 years, 1959 through 1967. I went through basic training at Fort Ord in Monterey, CA and stayed there for the remainder of of my 6 months active duty. While there I attended the Field Communications Crewman's Course and learned how to climb poles and install communications equipment. I finished my active duty as an Assistant Instructor at the school. I returned to Vallejo after completing my active duty in June 1960 and served in the active reserves until receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1967.
