Bonnie's Story

Life Spent three fun filled years in the Army learning to speak Arabic and to be a spy. Learned to fly in east Texas. When I got out of the Army I returned to Monterey and married a guy I had met while stationed there. We moved to Tucson and then back to Monterey and then to Palmdale, Ca. In 1981 President Reagen fired 11,000 air traffic controllers and I had a steady job suddenly. I had my first baby while I was going through training in Oklahoma. In 1999 I retired from the FAA and began working on my novel. Still working on it. I am divorced now and live with my wonderful 15 year old daughter Kelsey. My son, emett, is 20 and lives in Hollywood where he tries to pay his rent by acting. he does pretty well. I'm good friends with both my ex husbands and I adore m...Expand for more
y kids. Workplace After dropping out of college to get married and subsequently divorced, I joined the Army on the condition that they would teach me Arabic. They did. I spent a year at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Ca then was assigned to Ft. Hood where I did nothing. In my spare time I learned to fly, attending a college in Texas and getting my private pilot license. After my discharge, I remarried and proceeded to starve until the controllers were all fired in 1981 thereby providing me with a steady job. I worked at the Los Angeles ARTCC for 18 years when I was diagnosed with a serious disease and forced to retire. I now am divorced again and live with my 15 year old daughter. I am currently writing a novel. Don't worry - it's purely fictional.
