Brad's Story
Life
Live and work in Houston, Texas. 2 children: Ashley (b. 1995) and Evan (b. 2006). Married to the former Elena Sheviakova of Moscow, Russia. Met Elena through work (Elena was working for the Russian Space Agency in the International Space Station Program and I was working at NASA).
13 business trips to Moscow, Russia. Upcoming business trips: Tokyo (May '09).
Previous trips: 1 to Cologne, Germany; 2 to Amsterdam, Netherlands; 1 to Tokyo, Japan; 1 to Belize; 3 to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Preparing to launch a business in Houston as soon as the business operations concept is finalized.
Currently writing 2 novels (political/techno-thriller).

Completed Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from New School University, NY in 1998.
Workplace
Reported to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas in April, 2000. Primary work consists of instructing astronauts and Russian cosmonauts on the operation of International Space Station systems. Prior to reporting to NASA in 2000, served 11 years in the US Navy as a nuclear propulsion plant operator and supervisor on submarines.
Military
Reported to ballistic missile submarine USS Pennsylvania (blue crew) in 1991 after completion of the Naval Nuclear Power training pipeline.
Competed 8 deterrent patrols on USS Pennsylvania (>2 years cumulative time spent undersea). Supervised the nuclear and propulsion plant water chemistry and radiological controls division. Also operated the nuclear and propulsion plant mechanical systems.
Reported to Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, NY in 1995 as an instructor. Certified as a nuclear propulsion plant operations team supervisor.
Awards and achievements include: Submarine Warfare Qualification (dolphin insignia), 3 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, U.S. Navy Master Training Specialist.
