Brenda's Story
It's been a great life for me. I married a Milby Graduate named Randy and we had 4 children. All of which are great kids. We have 5 grandchildren, 3 girls and 2 boys. They do very well in school.
Randy and I ran our own business for over 20 years, in Tomball, Texas. We sold our business in 1999 and the business still carries our name. Randy works for the company and the new owners of the business. I retired 9 years ago but recently went back to work at West Conroe Baptist Church where I do their accounting. Between Randy's job and my new job, we stay very busy.
After we sold our business, we built a house on Lake Conroe near Walden. We hope to retire here some day.
Randy and I have traveled all over the world. Randy just returned from a mission trip to Yap, which is a small island off of Guam. It was an experience he won't soon f...Expand for more
orget. It also gave him an opportunity to dive in the waters there.
Randy loves to Scuba dive. Me? Well, I am not an outdoors person. I have a disease called lupus that keeps me indoors most of the time. I try not to let it keep me from doing things but from time to time, it gets the best of me. And, I have to stop and rest a while.
I have had a great life with a great husband and kids. But, it hasn't been without heartbreak. One of our sons, Brian, was killed in a car wreck in 1997. As a result of his death, Randy and I have taken on a ministry in our lives called GriefShare. It has given us an opportunity to meet a lot of hurting people that have experienced similar losses. And, we have made lots of good friends through this ministry. God has been good to us and we are not ashamed to give him the glory and the praise.
