Brenda's Story
Life
After high school I left Washington and took a job in New York. I lived in East Rockaway on Long Island for a year and a half. I missed the mountains so I came back. I worked in a nursing home for 10 years. I married in '96. My daughter Kyla was born in '98. I went back to school and got a degree in graphic design in 2000. In 2002 my son Brandon was born. Bellingham. In 2003 I moved to Homer Alaska and went to work at South Peninsula Hospital. I did freelance graphic work for a computer store and for the Homer Tribune. In 2006 I fell and shattered my ankle. I nearly lost my right foot, but great surgeons and awsome benefits made the difference. I divorced in 2007 and am currently living with my boyfriend in Soldotna Alaska and I am full time mom now.
