Brenda's Story
Life
Since leaving Dan McCarty High School in 1959, I have had a very busy life. Moved to Ohio in 1960. My ex's family lived up there and he thought he could make a better life being closer to his family. I did not like Ohio. Too much snow and icy roads. One day when I made quick trip to the grocery store and did not wear my shoes, just went bare footed as we did in North Ga where I was born and raised until age 13 when my Mom moved us to Ft Pierce, the guy in the grocery store said to me, " You must be a Georgia Hick, I said why, he said Hicks don't wear shoes to town." I knew then and there I was going back South. I did make some good friends in Marion Ohio that I still keep in touch with today.
Four years and 2 wonderful daughters later we moved back to Ft Pierce. We moved to Orlando in 1968 as my ex was in the building industry and everyone said Orlando is the place to be, it is going to grow. My son was born in Orlando in 1969. We moved to Winter Garden and opened a construction company in 1977. I got my Real Estate Brokers License in 1981. Did not use it, kept it active, stayed home and...Expand for more
raised the children. Moved to Gotha in 1981 and lived there 8 years. Got divorced in 1996. Have been moving forward in life since then. I love life and each day is as good as we make it. I choose to be positive rather than, "Oh woe is me", I have 3 great children and 7 grandchildren. I go to a wonderful church, First Baptist Sweetwater in Longwood, Fl. I did accomplish a life long goal in 2001. I got my Bachlor's Degree in Business Management at University of Phoenix. You know going to night classes working days and doing papers on the weekend. My Big Papa in Ball Ground GA had always encouraged me to get an education. Finally did. Sure felt good. My fun thing to do is golf. I love the game. I also like to go to the Orlando Symphony. Love classical music along with Elvis and Jimmy Buffet.

Well 3 years have gone by since update. Nothing has changed except this crazy real estate market we are all experiencing. 11/12/10
Since 11/12/10 Still working Real Estate. Love singing in the choir at Sweetwater First Baptist. Sing second soprano. All is good. as of 11/19/2015
