Brenda's Story
Wow what a life. Who would of thought that a small town cajun girl would end up going all over the world. I have finally retired on the island of Ithaca in Greece after a wonderful full life.
Three children and five grandchildren later, my husband and myself retired on this lovely quite island. Learning another langage has been a job for me. But like everything else, I just stumble all over the greek langage until they get the idea of what I am talking about. After leaving cajun country, it was hard for others across the world to even believe I was speaking the English langage. Lets face it, unless you went to Catholic school, we were lucky even to beable to read and write. But being the hard headed cajuns we all are, I soon dropped the southern slag and started making my way in the world.

joying our rewards by fishing, swimming , mountain climbing on the island. Getting some gardening in , but this is not an easy place for that. So I enjoy my long winters with painting and reading by the fire at night.
Getting this house finished has been a job. Finding workers, and having the weather permit, seems more difficult each year.
Just like every where else, inflation is running the price for such a home into out of this world cost. So we will continue to work on our home one step at a time.
I often wonder what happen to the girls I went to school with in Berwick . I wonder if they ended up finding Mr. Wonderful or did they get a big disappointment. Oh, well, life is like a box of chocolates. right. We just never know what we are going to get.
