Brenda's Story

Life I was married just under 30 years and have been divorced for 10. 2 sons.. Beau age 31 and Bobby Wayne 38, gramma to Bailey Wayne age 11. If they asked me..I could write a book but no one would ever believe it happened like that....in all actuality I stopped after 2 chapters. So happy to move on!! I am happily single....and LOVE living in Florida ! well maybe I would like to have someone... I miss David McBee...I was crushed when he passed... any questions? just ask me...*smiles feel free to email me... Brenda (Sunny) I hope people remember me as a nice person albeit quiet..lol I wanted to be a photographer and journalist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that strange idea as I was so shy.. All I did was get married...until now.. I am more confident ...a lot more outgoing! I can do anything! Blowing off steam or relaxing? anywhere quiet, especially on the water..watching the waves and the swaying palms in a breeze, listening to the sea birds overhead! I also enjoy facebokking with family and friends ! The most embarassing thing I did was skip school... The Wildest? I was far from wild...I havent done it yet..lol If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have the skills,, Knowledge, and patience to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I don't think I have a hero, I have learned the hard way.. Now, I have my faith to get me through life and that as well as Having my son Beau..gives me the greatest feeling on earth! I have lived in Kokomo 3/4 of my life... Moved to Russiaville to the farm, same house 2 different times. I moved back to Kokomo after my divorce;from there I moved to Homosassa,Florida. Beau and I are now quite happy to call it home... The two people from my past who I'd most like to see again is Teresa Minor (I didn't get to say goodbye to her)and David McBee, because Teresa was my best friend and David had my heart...It was great spending time with him in September..just before his passing. a week just wasn't long enough.. Still love basketball, favourite players of all times. Larry Bird, Bobby Jamison and the Etherington Boys, Tracy and Brett! As far as tv goes..I get so tired of the cops and murders,I despise shows like Jerry Springer..all the fighting etc.. I enjoy most reality shows..not the fighting, eating yukky things kind of show..more into cooking, survivor, comedy, informational, competition type.. Music?? how can I not be stuck in the 50's and 60's?. that was music, they had lyrics and I could even sing to them..Not that I sing well; I do think they have changed the words to some of the songs but..so is life.. I listen to the True Oldies channel: 106.3 out of Tampa (WJQB) Beau and I have a pet! She is a rescue dog. Four year old English Mastiff called Misty Lee. She is quite pretty, reverse brindle, rather light orangish/brownish. Tigerish looking..160 lbs..quite a lap dog she is! she snores and she has gas !! My biggest surprise was staying in a bad marriage so long! My best quote...lol' "I used to read to escape and then I escaped!" now if you can't figure that one out..I no longer read as I did..and the dishonesty of the Howard County court system. Hmmm needs a lot of cleaning up there...lol If I could improve my home, I'd not exactly remodel but add on a glorious back deck, that goes all the way around the house to the pool and just update with different colours, fencing etc.. My dream home would be comfortable and a place of unconditioal love. Energy...Expand for more
efficent, with the wee energy star thingie ya know.. What I have learned from my kids..is patience, give unconditional love and that when they grow up, they leave! We always hope that some of what we said in the teaching of right and wrong stuck and didn't go directly out the other side..lol remember the saying?.. ""a daughter is a daughter all of her life and a son is a son until he takes a wife?.."" I love Bobby and Bailey Wayne(my grandbaby). they are always welcome into my life. And Beau?...yeh he knows..the laughs, the teasing, the trust, the confidence, the innocence, unconditional love...he is my pride and joy..my shadow!! *smiles (I am so sorry for what he has been through) What teacher would I like to see again..wow that's a hard one..when I grew up and spoke to my teachers as a fellow adult, I was quite disappointed in them personality wise.I shall leave this one open..lol If I won $100 million, I'd give a big bit of it to my church to go on the mortgage, anymous gifts to my family, buy a NEW Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van and turn the rest over to my personal accountant Robbie to give me an allowance..!(that is after Beau and I spend a week at Disney and Universal being spoiled..and a family cruise..lol) My current age is 57. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be retiring. I was so completely wrong. Bad economy has surprised me..I never thought that our country would be sold out from under us!! I work very hard everyday as a caregiver I think my real inspirations are to one day relax and have great adventerous days for Beau and myself.....lol My first real crush, I have no idea what happened to him...he is probably riding moodycycles somewhere..lol My best friend would tell you I'm a pain in the arse, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as very kind, happy and magic.. .remember I was just 16 then..now I am an adult..haha I am quite the latter though..but she does come back as a french fry and haunt me with indigestion..just like she said she would...thanks Teresa! now I wear capris, walking shorts,sneakers..I guess I am not the frumpy one anymore..nor am I the same build but..I like me and I am happy! You get one do-over. What do you do differently? If I say,not show up at the church I wouldn't be happy because I wouldn't have my boys...but..it would be tempting to have made the call. But since he is no longer with us..doesn't really matter does it? In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by hail or high wudder. My bestest friend now from my youth..? I guess it would be Terry Nay..he used sit on his bike at his cousins house(who was my neighbor)and call my sister names and I would hit him on the arm..I was 7, he must have been 11? yeh, I would say we are good friends..as we are in touch often..*smiles I do have good memories of all my friends from school..and I miss seeing them.... What about me would surprise everyone at my high school reunion? That I would show up or they would see someone different than they thought I was... My first job was at one of the teen dance halls, where I got paid free admission and soft drinks to book bands and walk the performers from their hotel lobby to the stage entry. What I remember most about it is having tea with Brian Hyland and meeting all of the popular groups when we were in high school. Music was my highlight..made me happy just to hear it and dance..and it still does..*smiles
