Brian Bencomo:  

Military BU1 (SCW) Brian S. Bencomo United States Navy Pentagon Joint Staff Security Office Attended the University of New Mexico in 1992. Enlisted in the Navy in April, 1993 and attended recruit training camp in San Diego, California. After completing training I was assign to the USS Belleau Wood (LHA-3), forward deployed to Sasebo, Japan August 1993 to February 1996 as a Deck Seaman for Deck Department. I made two West Pack Deployments during my tenure, Okinawa, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Mogadishu, Australia, Guam, Hong Kong. My assignments included port operations, basic seamanship, ships helmsmen, ships look outs, basic fire fighter. Transferring in February 1996 to Builder “A” School, Gulf Port, Mississippi, upon graduation I cross rated to Builder Constructionman (BUCN). May 1996 until April 1998 I was assigned to Naval Mobil Construction Battalion THREE deployed to several locations during my tenure Guam, Naval Station, Rota, Spain, Estonia. My assignments included project crewmember, Spec-war K-span, project crew leader Chapel Renovation, lead project carpenter Hospital Up-Grade.
