Brian's Story

Children: Egan (stepson), born in 1974. Egan served 9 years on active duty in the US Army and is now a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force, Stationed at Fort Meade MD in the MIS field. He has an MS in Management (Information Systems) from the Florida Institute of Technology. 8/16/2007 - Egan is a captain in the USAF and an assistant professor at the University of Maryland in the AF ROTC program. He is married with a stepson and a son. Egan has 17+ years of active duty in the Army and Air Force and less than 3 yrs to serve to be eligible for retirement. Daughter Adrianne, born in 1980, is serving in the Air Force on active duty in the communications field. She has served an overseas assignment at Ghedi AFB, Italy and is now stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. Adrianne was married November 25, 2005 to Rob Marraccino in Pacific Grove, CA (on the beach!). They have a home in Rosamond, CA. Adrianne works at Edwards AFB as does Rob, who is a Master Sergeant in the USAF. Adrianne is no longer on active duty and is pursuing a BS through the U of MD. Adrianee has received her BS in IS Mgmt from the U of MD and is working on her MS in IT/Information Assurance at the U of MD. She is employed full time doing IS work for a high profile aerospace company. Rachel, born in 1989, is a sophomore in high school and is planning to become an architect. Rachey has now graduated from Pacific Grove HS (CA)in June of 2007. She was accepted at colleges including UC Berkeley and is studying Civil Engineering. Jobs, military service, and a sense of adventure have taken us to live in California (Monterey), Iowa (Ames), Texas (San Angelo - twice),Arizona (Phoenix), Maryland (Odenton and Bel Air), Washington (Kirkland), Florida (Melbourne Beach), New Hampshire, and Oklahoma (Oklahoma City). Honor graduate of the basic 37 week, intermediate 27 week, and advanced 37 week Russian language courses at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey. I graduated first in class from the advanced Russian language course. DLI is a world class foreign language training center, run by the US Army. US Air Force Active Duty Russian linguist in the Electronic Security Command of the USAF. Stationed at DLI in Monterey, CA and Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX Completed the Advanced Russian Language course at DLI while on active duty in the AF.
