Brian's Story
Life
After graduating from Arroyo High School in 1988, I worked in a cabinet shop and did construction work for about a year. I then decided to attend Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato Minnesota. I was at Bethany (a two year college at the time) from 1989-1991 and graduated with an AA. I moved back to CA for about a year then moved back to Mankato MN in 1992 and have been here ever since. I love the slower pace and the change of seasons in MN (yes, even the freezing winters). I met Rebecca in college (she is from WA) and we have been happily married since 1994. Rebecca is a stay at home Mom and raising our children. We have 5 children: Erin 14, James 12, Laura 11, Sarah 9 and Matthew 6 (as of Sept. 2010). r. I have worked in the Housekeeping Dept. at Bethany Lutheran College for 16 years. I enjoy gardening and fishing (and ice fishing). I love playing basketball, volleyball, racquetball, softball and ping pong. I also love watching my children play sports. I still love music and had been waiting for the iPod my entire life. I also write and record music (mostly acoustic) with a good friend of mine. We have made 5 recordings over the past 10 years. I also sing in a cover band on occasion playing mostly 70's and 80's music. We remain active in our Lutheran Church where Rebecca teaches Sunday School. The kids are able to participate in our church school sports and choir. I miss all my family and friends in CA, but don't miss the busy, fast pace of CA. God has really blessed us here in MN.
